    just an update
I figure I should type a little something something here, because I sent something to someone and he/she might post a link back to my livejournal, and it might be odd to find that this page hasn't been updated in a year and a half. So anyway, I'm still alive, and almost everyone I see on LJ, I see on MSN or blogger or facebook, or on my boards... so I haven't had much use for LJ.

So, my boards are pretty much dead... but other than that, I'm still pretty alive with a bunch of other blog-type things. I joined facebook! I'm so addicted to that now, or at least I was in the initial phases, now it's just there but I still spend too much time on it. I have two other blogs, both on blogger, where I write most of my stuff... and I keep in touch with a lot of people on MSN.

So... anyway, I think that's all I wanted to type.

    asia trip stuff
It's been a long time since I've updated my LJ, and also a long time since I've updated my asia trip. Anyway, tonight I finally got off my lazy ass and uploaded the rest of the pictures. Now you can enjoy them all :P

    Singapore and Videos
Okay, the first part of my asia trip is up online. Sure, it's a rough copy, but it's a start.

    http://www.baomon.com/asia/Singapore/sing1.html

About 30 pictures, 30 captions, no other text, and one video. Over the next few weeks, expect about 150 more pictures and 5 more videos, and eventually some accompanying text. Enjoy the pictures and videos, and leave comments here. You can request bigger versions of the pictures as well.

Actually, lemme post another video here for my LJ peeps.. let's see.. hmm... a couple of anime people on here, so, um, sure, why not, Digital Akihabara video is for you guys.

http://www.baomon.com/asia/videos/digi-akki-high.wmv - about 2 minutes, about 8 megs. This is the high quality version, as some parts go by pretty fast and don't look so good in the low quality version. So this video is about our time in Akihabara, Japan's Electronic Town. Sure, there are a lot of electronics, but it's more about the anime and the manga and videogames and figurines ^^

    Final journey
Hello. Long time no update, kinda. I mostly update my other blog every couple days, but for now, since I'm stuck in an airport lounge for a few hours, I might as well update my other two journals (LJ and board). I just checked my last 50 entires on my friend's page, so I figure I should update now.

So, I've been to Singapore for 4 days, Hong Kong for 4 days, and Tokyo for 4 days. I'm currently in HK, waiting for my flight to Vietnam. I think I fly in about 2 and a half hours. So far the trip has been marvelous. Lots of food, shopping, new culture, sights to see. So far, I like Tokyo best, followed by Singapore, and then Hong Kong. As I did with my Cancun trip, I'll have a web page dedicated to this trip with pictures and stuff.

It's almost dinner time, so I should log off now. I'll update again when I get back to Toronto.

Oh yeah, I have a LiveJournal account...
Oh yeah, LJ... Almost forgot about you. I figure I should update my LJ pals on my status, better late than never. Tonight I'm leaving the house around 8:00 pm, and I'll be on a plane around midnight, going to Asia for 3 weeks. 4 days in Singapore, 4 days in Hong Kong, 5 days in Tokyo, and a week in Vietnam. Going with brother and parents, should be fun.

So that's it. So if you're wondering why I'm not on MSN, then now you know. See ya in 3 weeks!

    Untitled Story
I threw up. Several times. It’s the worst feeling I’ve had for the longest time. I could barely move, because if I did, I’d felt dizzy and uneasy. So I sat there, perfectly still, head lowered. As my scheduled transportation left, I just sat there. Then she comes by, and hands me a glass of water, and says “drink up, you’ll feel better. I promise.”

I was hesitant at first, thinking that my body will reject it. So I reluctantly drank it down. I could hear the rest of them enjoying breakfast in the kitchen, not too far from where I was sitting. She comes back out, and hands me another glass of water, filled to the brim. She politely asked me, so I took a sip. When she was out of sight, I couldn’t take it.

My stomach rejected the water, said “I was too full”, so I set the water aside. And then… again… I just sat there. Listening to joy, while I was here, wastefully just sitting in one spot. What a waste of a morning. I was all the way out there, in a new location, with new friends, and I’m spending the morning sitting by myself, on the couch, hoping not to throw up, or, that throwing up will make me feel better soon. What a waste of a morning.

So how did it all lead to this? Well, it all started a few days ago…

    Singing, Drumming, and Poetting
Picture this: Four grown men sitting around a TV, happily singing "Britney Spears - Baby One More Time" - together.

No, we weren't forced at gunpoint or anything - we were playing Karaoke Revolution, for the XBOX. So to sum up the lastest entertainment, we've been playing Donkey Konga for Gamecube (who knew hitting drums and clapping with friends was so much fun?), and Karaoke Revolution for Xbox. And then the other day we subscribed to Xbox Live, and downloaded more songs, including Britney Spears - Baby one more time. We don't know too many songs, so we've been hearing a lot of Avril Lavigne and various oldies lately..

And I recently fell in love with peach, sparkling water again.

I stopped playing poker, for the most part... I still participate in the odd tournament here and there, but as far as cash games go, I'm out.

Anyway, so from last time, the trivia answers were Faith Hill - There You'll be, Linkin Park - One Step Closer, and Blink 182, All the Small Things. This time, we have:

    1. “How can I help it if I think you’re funny when you’re mad”
    2. “Out across the endless sea / I would die in ecstasy”
    3. “Leaving just your picture behind / and I’ve kissed it a thousand times” (if you just guess the song that’s okay)

I think someone will guess #1, but if they don't, an additional lyric portion will be provided next update.

    ---

Anyways, everyone else is doing those Haiku meme's, so I decided to try it out (since little effort was involved). Most Haiku's didn't make sense, with poems ending with "the" or words like "nd" or "th". So here's 4 that made... more sense than the rest. If you haven't seen the poems and you want to find stuff for yours, check out my friend's page and you'll find the form eventually..

    alone oh yeah my

anime, anime, anime... reviews and stuff
I recently made a couple of anime-loving friends on LJ, so now I’m posting an anime-review-esque post on LJ. Also, I never did that before, so maybe these type of posts will be more popular here than with my blogspot crew.

Also, those audio trivia things are pretty popular nowadays, but I already did one on my blogspot a few weeks ago, but it’s fun so I think every entry from now on will possibly contain a couple more. So here are 3 lyrics from some songs, you can guess them in the comments (songs are not anime-related).

    1. You're right there for me / ohhhh / in my dreams I always see you soar above the sky
/ in my heart there'll always be a place for you..

    2. wish I could find a way to disappear / all these thoughts they make no sense /

    3. work sucks / I know

Anyway, so over the last few days, in an effort to pre-procrastinate studying, I’ve been watching some stuff that’s been on my hard drive for a while that I haven’t seen. I’ve seen Uta-Kata 1, Monster 1, Air 1, Kannaduki Miko 2, Kodocha 3, Mai Hime 4, Genshiken 6, School Rumble 9, Initial D 4th Stage 12, and Gankutsuou 21. Amy introduced me to Death Note, so I read 2 chapters of that. As well, I forget if I blogged about Beyond the Clouds and Ghost in the Shell: Innocence.

Anyway, before I LJ cut the rest

http://www.baomon.com/board/gen-puyo.wmv (6mb) - Enjoy! A 3:30 clip from Genshiken that you might find most enjoyable. Poor Saki-chan…

LJ CUT - Anime Reviews )
Anyways, so that’s it. So tell me about your anime experiences with these, enjoy the gen-puyo.wmv clip, and good luck with those 3 lyric guesses.

TV, TV, TV, and SIN CITY
Alright, here we go. For the past week or so, I’ve been sick, at home, in Mississauga, instead of in Waterloo, because my mom wanted me to stay home so she could take care of me. Thus, I’ve been having a lot of free time, and one of the things I’ve been doing is catching up on TV, and on some of the new shows I’ve been missing and older shows that people have mentioned over the years.

So I’ve been watching NCIS (Naval CSI but no good), Medium (interesting, girl has premonitions in dreams and when meeting people, solves crimes), Lost, House, What I Like About You (cute cast), Life on a Stick (okay jokes, horrible acting), a bit of Eyes (seems like a spy sorta show), and Tru Calling (amazing new Fox series, Eliza Dushku lives a day, sees someone end up in the morgue, then she relives the day, trying to save that person, while Jason Priestley’s job is to keep that person dying).

Last but not least, I started watching Gilmore Girls – a lot of it, too. Christa mentioned it on several occasions, and David talked about it too, so I started watching it. It’s okay, but I guess I can see Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as, sorta, friends and neighbours now, so that’s cool. I’ve been seeing Lauren Graham on Conan and Celebrity Poker, so I’ve gotten to know her outside her show, and now I know her inside her show. Alexis Bledel’s cute :)

And of course, even though I’m sick, I can still stay up and watch Leno, Letterman, and Conan, and from that I’ve seen many recent interviews with Jessica Alba, Robert Rodriguez, Britney Murphy, and Michael Clarke Duncan, and each one brings along a clip of their own from Sin City, so that just pumped up my feeling that I had to watch it. And thus, here it goes.

    SIN CITY
18A, for gore and violence, and later I figure out, of course, language, and some nudity as well. Saw it at Coliseum with Jody (Amish couldn’t make it), 4:20 pm on Friday, $9.95, about 20 people in the theatre. Coliseum still plays lord of the rings music.

Alright, so this is Sin City, and this is my review of it. I’ll start with saying that I liked it. When I first exited the theatre, I gave it 7/10. While thinking about it and reflecting on it for the past 27 hours, I’ve bumped it up to 8/10. Reading what more people thought of it, I might bump it up more, but for now it’ll stay at 8/10. There are no amazing spoilers in this except for the clearly labeled paragraph in the middle.

So, Sin City is based on a comic / graphic novel by Frank Miller. In the interviews I saw, I think they made it pretty clear it’s a graphic novel rather than a comic. Anyway, the movie played very much so like a graphic novel. The movie is split up into 3 chapters, plus an intro chapter that introduces you to Sin City, and an outtro chapter that brings the whole thing full circle (begins with Josh Hartnett’s character, “The Salesman”, and ends with him too).

Each chapter or volume is separate, with different storylines and main characters. The stories don’t intertwine except by location, Sin City, and other characters make cameos in different chapters, only because of location. Also, like a comic book, there are a lot of narrative parts, spoken by the main character of the current chapter (Rourke, Owen, and Willis). The narrative is in a noir-sorta setting, so that’s cool.

The movie is very stylish with its art style and colour and characters, but because of the lack of continuity between stories, it felt… short. Each story is like a separate comic book or graphic novel, so there was no continuity between stories; it’s like watching several episodes of some show in a row, but not even that because main characters change.

And much like a comic book, a story starts at some point (not the beginning of a character’s story), and ends at some point. What I mean is, we know very little of sin city; we don’t know how it started, or why it is Sin City. They could make an entire movie about the beginning of sin city.

Another thing is that, character development… well, there wasn’t too much; you couldn’t get too close to a character, because each story was pretty short. So we didn’t get too close to the characters.

Anyway, the whole movie’s stylish, and the acting or casting was pretty awesome. Britney Murphy’s role wasn’t as big as I thought it would be… maybe I thought it would be big because I saw an interview with her. Jessica Alba’s pretty hot, and her role was important, but she wasn’t onscreen as much as the other characters.

The coolest person? I’d say it was Devon Aoki, or Miho, an asian Ninja girl working in Old Town. And there was another cute girl, but for the whole movie I couldn’t quite put my finger on who it is. Then in the ending credits, I noted her name, and it wasn’t until I got onto IMDB that I found out it was Alexis Bledel, or Rory from Gilmore Girls. So that’s why she looked so familiar! And so cute too. Thanks to Gilmore girls, I got more familiar with Alexis’ character and it made Sin City more enjoyable.

Carla Gugino has a pretty nice body :)

Elijah Wood… ugh, what a weirdo. That reminds me, Sin City villains are very much like comic book villains, and by that I mean Elijah Wood and Nick Stahl’s second character, crazy characters they are.

Bruce Willis, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke… all good, all good. Michael Madsden, Rosario Dawson… good too… didn’t care much for Benicio Del Toro… Carla Gugino’s all good… Josh Hartnett had a small role, he did fine… Michael Clarke Duncan had a pretty small role too…

As for recommendations… well, yes, it’s a very violent movie. It’s very artistic, looks very stylish, beautiful colours. It’s a dark, gritty movie, but very nicely done. There’s blood, but not like a lot of gushing blood, if I remember correctly. I remember blood on faces mostly. Of course, there’s that one goriest part, involving the death of a psychopathic cannibalistic killer, but he deserved it… that’s probably the goriest scene.

So it’s not as bloody as say, Kill Bill Vol 1, nor as much killing, but it’s not for the faint of heart. So basically what I’m saying, is everyone will enjoy it, maybe even David, but it might be hard to get him into the theatre cuz… it is, pretty violent.

So, after writing this, I might bump up the score a bit past 8… maybe 8.5? Or I’ll keep it at 8, I’ll hover it there. IMDB gave it 8.7 so far, which is pretty darn good. Anyway, time for the spoilers!

    non-storyspoilers )

So, that’s my review of Sin City! Go watch it! And I read on a billboard outside of coliseum that all movies there are guaranteed $9.95 or less (after tax), so it’s not super expensive to enjoy a movie nowadays. With the violence, and the art style, and the directing style, and the story telling and the acting, there has to be something for everyone, although that’s not saying the movie’s for everyone…

Someone download this for me, I can’t wait to see Miho in action again… Devon Aoki has to make more movies… and… I wanna go to Old Town… looks like a nice place to stay…

    Sick Kegger
Let's see... where am I.... it's Monday the 28th, and I have been sick since Thursday. Well, technically I was sick on Tuesday, but I was better on Wednesday, and then I got sick on Thursday again. Thursday to Sunday I was sickest, today I think I've gotten better. I used to cough, a lot, and now I'm just feeling a bit tired, but still coughing a set of big coughs every now and then... but nobody wants to hear about my coughs. It's enough to say that I am sick, with coughing, yet no fever or headache or sneezes. Oh yeah, my mom decided to keep me in 'sauga, so that she can take care of me (and in case I get worse, if I need to see a doctor or hospital), and to keep me from infecting other kids at school.

So... anyway, I usually start each entry about how I'm not blogging enough, or neglecting my livejournal, or having to choose between what stuff to write here and what stuff to write there, or whatever. Also, if I don't write often enough, sometimes topics build up and now I have too many things to write about.

And yes, there are a lot of things to write about. The biggest thing... is probably... the kegger.

A week after my birthday, I went to the first kegger of my life. I went with a few people from UWVSA (U-Waterloo Vietnamese Student's association) to Mcmaster to meet with McMasterVSA at a house party they were having. First, let me tell ya, McMaster VSA is so much cooler than UW-VSA; they have more active members, better events, and they've got some pretty hot chicks ;)

Anyway, so a bunch of us went to the kegger, and it was fun. I met some great McMaster VSA's I met before during a vsa camping trip in the summer, and it was really nice to see them again. The party would've been much different if I didn't have those mcmaster people to bond with. Sure, I made new friends too, and that's pretty cool.

Anyway, so a bunch of us were supposed to get drunk, but unfortunately, I didn't. Not sure if it was special to this kegger, but instead of beer or whatever, they had this fruit drink with alcohol, or orange pop with alcohol, or 7-up with alcohol. Agreeing with one of my friends, it was hard to get drunk because the stuff tasted like crap, and before you get drunk, you'd get full and bloated and so you can't drink anymore, and that's what happened to me throughout the night. So, that was unfortunate.

Still, it was fun seeing drunk people and chicks and old friends. I don't think I can post pictures here, and besides, I'm in 'sauga so I don't have access to the pics now. Anyways, so that was the kegger.

Anything else to post here? Hmm... not much else. It's the end of March, so my mom had a billion Rogers-videos coupon, since we're a VIP cable subscriber or something, so we rented a bunch of movies the other day. So lately I've seen The Forgotten and Girl Next Door.

The Forgotten was okay, it was kinda disappointing when you found out the "bad guy" was _________, but after that the story makes some sense, but then the ending was a bit weird. I wouldn't really watch it again though.

The Girl Next Door was... also okay. A lot more nudity than I expected (none from Elisha Cuthbert though), but I guess that's what you get with the unrated version. Wasn't a bad movie, just had lots of cliche moments and some weird stuff they just thrown in, crazy hijynx and stuff. Elisha Cuthbert was cool though, and so was Tim Olyphant. So I liked it, but it wasn't the greatest movie.

I want to see Sin City. Anyways, that's good enough for an update.

Old, Banana Bread, OngBak, and Shots
OMG… I’m so old. Okay anyway, my birthday was on Saturday, and thus, I am now officially 24 years old. I don’t feel 24… like, as always, it’s just a number, like when I turned 23 or 22 or whatever. Except, 24… is pretty old. And I’m in my last term of university, so… yeah. I’m just here, blogging, listening to music, on msn, and otherwise playing poker or videogames and watching anime. I’m not ready for a job or real responsibilities yet.

Like, I used to be in co-op, but then I didn’t have enough time, for free time; for just relaxing with the family, or with friends playing games. And I needed to relax, because I was still a kid… anyway, it’s been a long time since I’ve been in co-op, or had any real job, so I started feeling like a little kid again, carefree, no worries, necessities paid for, etc, everything all good.

I still don’t have a girlfriend :( But that doesn’t really worry me too much… well, if I’m not going to be working, and if I’m not going to be in school, where would I go to meet girls? So I dunno, that’s kinda weird. So like, wow, 24, that’s old, people get married at this age or a few years later, and I’m just here, roaming around, single… still…

    Anyway, enough about being old.

    Let’s see… what to talk about…

Food… I love chicken wings. We’ve been eating a lot of chicken wings lately… anyway, still on the topic of food… well, we don’t cook. That’s another way I’m still young, in the sense that… well, we don’t cook. Everyone else we know, well, most of them, they cook, save money, have real good food at home… I should learn to cook…

So I mentioned the other time that I play poker… anyway, that one week was pretty awesome, winning lots of money online and offline, the next week however was pretty horrible, losing a lot in both places. Now I’m back to playing the $1 games online, and slowly building back my empire.

    ///ong-bak////

Anyway, the other day, at home, in Mississauga… well, the big thing nowadays is people getting illegal movies for us, so long story short, we obtained from one of my dad’s coworkers, Ong-Bak, on DVD.

I’m not sure if it was the same as in the theatres, with the subtitles and non-English language, but… I didn’t like it too much. It felt a bit… contrived, that’s the word that Wen might use to describe something, hehe. Like, the big thing was that all the stunts are real, with no wires or stunt doubles… it looked like the movie was based on individual scenes, where the dude would purposely show off and show everyone “I can do this stunt without wires”.

For example, at one point he’s running through an alley way, being chased, and all along the way there will be people holding boxes or something, and there will be these obscure obstacles, like a small loop he has to “jump through without wires”, and these two vertical panes of glass with a thin vertical gap in the middle which he has to “flip through without wires”, and this frying pan and table which he has to “jump and roll over without wires”… it’s so… weird.

And every now and then he would jump and hit or kick his opponent, and then they’ll do it again in slow motion in the same angle, to emphasize that he did it “without wires”. So I felt the story wasn’t so good, the acting wasn’t great, the cast wasn’t too memorable (it wasn’t hoorrrrrible), and…. Yeah, everything felt like it was set so he can show the audience “wow, I’m cool, I don’t need to use special effects to do this stunt.” That’s what I felt.

Other than that, it was an okay movie… everyone keeps saying it was so good, but the other day at my birthday dinner I heard someone agree with me, so I’m not alone… oh yeah, my birthday dinner on Friday, that was pretty good. Then Saturday I went home to ‘sauga to spend my birthday with the family, with a cake too. I chose it, but it turns out I chose a crappy cake. It looked nice (and messy) on the outside, $22.99, La Rocca, Chocolate Chip Banana something… so there’s chocolate icing and all that, but the inside of the cake is… just… like… banana bread. It’s exactly like banana bread, but in layers, with 3mm of icing in between layers. What a bad cake. Healthiest chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten, haha.

    ///shots////

Oh yeah, lastly, I should post a bit about shots, since LJ people would know more about this stuff than my group of people on blogspot. The other day, on Wednesday, I went out to Karaoke with a bunch of buddies, and to celebrate my birthday week, they bought me some shots of… Sunbooka… or whatever it is, and they gave me 2, since it was my birthday.

They told me to drink it fast, and so I did. The 2nd one I also did, a while later, but with the lemon thing afterwards. Anyway… maybe I don’t see the addiction, nor do I see the… scariness or whatever. With this Sunbooka, I don’t think I need the salt, and the lime, and that long procedure. To me, it’s like, a citrus fruit drink, with the strongest after taste ever.

After 2 shots, I did feel a bit… woozy, but not too bad really. It was a fun experience, but it was way too expensive (but they bought it for me, so I didn’t have to pay). Anyway, that was interesting. So long story short, I haven’t gotten drunk yet. Who wants to be in charge of getting me drunk for the first time? ;)

Anyways… how should I end this entry? Hmm… maybe I should go downstairs and

Okay, I guess I've been neglecting my livejournal, but then again, I've been neglecting my other journal as well. I've just been busy, and I'm still busy. Got a midterm in 12 hours, and then another midterm 22 hours after that, so I can't post a really big or interesting update just yet.

So... that's all I really wanted to say for this update. A real update will come soon... I hope. This friday and weekend might be pretty busy too, so we'll have to see.

Good week for Games and Money
Well, I guess since I said I’m blogging here again, I should. I remember another reason why I stopped using LJ; it’s because I’m a nerd, and writing nerdy stuff to a wide population isn’t thaaat cool. Anyway, I’ll probably keep most of the nerdy stuff on my blogger, and I’ll post different stuff here, but some nerdy stuff as well.

So anyway, this week was pretty good, in terms of games and money. Hehe. Today at school there was a SSBM (Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers) tournament, and my bro and I entered, as well as a bunch of our friends. The event was fun, and we made some new friends, so that’s always cool. My bro won first place, and it was pretty cool watching him play, and hearing other people talk about him… he’s more famous now :)

So my bro won first place, won $72 (profit of $67 because of the $5 entry fee), my friend Ambrose won 3rd place, so he won $36. I did pretty bad compared to those two, but it was still fun. However, compared to the money I didn’t make in videogames, I did make money in poker this week. I’m glad, cuz usually I’m not so great at poker, but I’ve gotten much better lately. Monday, made $10. Tuesday, made $50. Wednesday, made $10. Yeah, I played a lot of poker this week, cuz my friend from Windsor was here and he wanted to play more.

On Thursday, nobody wanted to play, so I just decided to chill at home… and sure, why the hell not, play a bit of online poker. And so I did, and made another $10 US. I swear, I’m not addicted… hehe. But if I’m making lots of money, is addiction bad? :P haha.

Anyway, to celebrate, at the spur of the moment, we decide to go to East Side Mario’s. My bro made $67, Ambrose made $31, I made $70 and my friend who was also there… well, his parents gave him more money recently, so that’s almost like a gain in cash, although our gain was from doing leisure activities.

Had the infinite pasta bowl deal at East Side’s, but after the garlic bread and appetizer and Caesar salad… damn, I was pretty full, so I had only ONE BOWL of pasta. But, it was still worth it, cuz anything else would probably still be more expensive, and the bowl of pasta came with a small dessert, so it was cool. Spent $18.75, which… is… I guess, typical of such a meal… oh well.

After that, went home… and… haha, you guessed it. I decide to play a bit more online poker, and so I made another $15 US, which more than makes up for the meal today, so that’s good.

Anyway, now it’s 3:40 AM. Tomorrow, a few Mississaugians are visiting us for the weekend, during their real reading week. They’re coming around 2:00 pm, so I figured I don’t have to wake up till much later… I hate waking up and then having to wait, so why not just stay awake now and then wake up and wait less? So that’s what I’m doing now.

And… I guess that’s enough for this entry. I tell ya, I’m not addicted to poker, I promise! Hehe… so don’t be all too concerned, at least, not yet.

Long time no see, LiveJournal... long time...
Alright... so, it's been about a year... and... a month... and... half a month... since I've updated my livejournal. Which doesn't mean I completely disappeared off the internet, or that I stopped writing about the things that I'm doing or the things that interest me. No, I've found other places to post that, namely, my board, or my other blog, which I started around this time last year.

I thought LiveJournal was too public, that is, with all the people that have me on their friends pages, everyone can read it, and then there's a lot of stuff which I might not want to write about, or whatever, or sometimes I feel like that since I appear on people's friends pages, I have to write significant posts, or else I'd just be 'taking up space'.

Anyyway... so my message boards were cool, and are still cool. My blog is still pretty cool, except that people refuse to post comments, or maybe I write too much and they don't comment. Also, at first it was a novelty and everyone who blogged posted comments, and it was nice, but nowadays everyone's busy and they're not blogging as much, and they're not checking blogs as much. Also, a good 1/2 of my friends who first knew about my other blog are now stuck in the world of azeroth and... ironforge, and... etc, or in other words, WORLD OF WARCRAFT. So that represents 4 blogs which are never updated anymore, and almost 4 people that might not read my blog as much, and thus much less comments.

And ya know what I realized? Although I've known this forever... I love comments. I love it when people give me feedback on what I post, on what I think... first, it lets me know that this text is being read, and secondly, I feel appreciated, or it feels nice when someone shares a view with me, or brings up a discussion about it, so it's not just like I'm talking to myself.

So... my message boards can probably excel at comments, but it's a lot to read, when I post about myself, and people might not care. So... why not livejournal? At Livejournal, people care about what I have to say, and because it's a journal, it's perfect for writing... well, a journal. And, I'm sure people will comment, and that will satisfy me. Hopefully they'll be good, insightful comments... but all comments are welcome.

So with that... I think I'd like to say that I'm back. Back to blogging on LiveJournal... well, at least I think I am. We'll see by how many comments this guy gets... (*hint hint*) ;)

Anyways... as for other news... I should probably do some homework now, but a quick outline of what's been happening:
    - school - good - finishing this term
    - videogames - okay - xbox since octoboer
    - anime - good
    - girlfriend - still no good :(
    - car - g2 - finally - no car though
    - job - no
    - post-school plans - be a bum - 3d graphics animator programmer maybe
    - poker - real life fun, win some, lose some, a bit negative right now but still fun
    - poker - online - january - horrible; february - good
    - 23 years old - 24 in march
    - luckily, not involved in world of warcraft :)
    - still nerdy - videogames, anime, magic the gathering sometimes ^^
    - but also more socializing - dances, drinking
    - haven't gotten drunk yet, still, but got tipsy last time, finally
    - and... I guess that's about it... for now...

    Sailor....
    Hello. Update time. Umm...
so yesterday we did some Christmas shopping, bought presents and ... games! We bought mario party 5 for the siblings, and my bro got FFXI. We wanted mario kart double dash, but it's too popular that it's sold out everywhere we went.

    argh.

Oh... yeah, I watch Sailor Moon Live >_< I dunno why, but I'm addicted to it, although it has such a close resemblance to power rangers. But the funny thing is... ya know when Japanese people speak English, they don't really speak English, but more... Engrish? Like, different consonants replace different... whatever. Anyway, when they say "Sailor Venus" it sounds like they say "Sailor Penis". It's kinda funny.

Anyway, it's my grandma's birthday today, so I'll be eating dinner soon... and CAKE! The delicious kind, not the kind that kills you. Yes yes.

Denethor doesn't know stop, drop, and roll. Well... he knows drop.
    Short update.
Return of the King is AWESOME. I won't review it just yet, but it's completely amazing. I don't usually watch movies more than once in theatres, but I'll make an exception for ROTK. I'll gladly see it again.

I also bought Need for Speed Underground, it's a pretty good game too.

    That's it for now.

    the king returns tomorrow
So... here comes another update. The king returns tomorrow! And I'm seeing him at 1:30 at the Coliseum with Paul and Lee-anne and some other people. It should be fun.

here's a gift to my livejournal buddies:
    http://www.baomon.com/board/trogdor.mp3

It's from Strong Bad's cd. I don't think I'll rip and distribute the other songs though, but I guess this is the one everyone wants so... yeah.

Soo... ... board's going pretty good. Denny's back. Umm... posted new statistics about half a week ago... ... not that anyone on LJ really cares... maybe I'll just advertise my boards here ^_^

come visit my boards! http://www.baomon.com/ <-- then follow the link to the left and another link to the boards. Come back Kenny! :) Umm... I can't think of anything else I want to update with. Halo (suicide mode) is hard. I love Sailor Moon Live; I'm SO addicted to this show, I can't help it, I don't know why. Recently I got into GunSlinger Girls (anime), it's pretty good.. umm... yeah. See ya later!

    Enumeration
Soo... it's Friday now... last exam's tomorrow, and boy, it's not looking too good. I can't understand any of the material... oh well.

So tomorrow's last exam. Going home tomorrow, but only for a bit, and then coming back here until my bro and roommate move back too, on the evening of the 16th, so I can be back in Mississauga for Return of the King opening day. Maybe I'll bring back someone from Mississauga to stay with us in Waterloo for a few days. that would be fun.

Philo final went well. Well, it was okay, but I still pass the course, so it's good either way.

I had a few dreams. Perhaps I'll post them later when I'm not so busy. I still owe Lorah some dreams, so maybe I'll post those too.

Ahhh... it's almost over. Happy happy, Joy joy. Must just get over this next exam, and then it's smooth sailing... well, I dunno about that, but it'll be fun. I'll update more later when I think of something.

    Kenny!
Happy Birthday Kenny! Well, it's not quite December 11th in Calgary time yet, but it is in my time, so yeah. Happy Birthday dude. and belated happy birthday to Rayna as well. And it was Sailor Jupiter's birthday last friday, so happy birthday to her too.

Studied philo today. I got my essay back cuz I really wanted to know what I got... I got another A-, so as long as A-'s are above 77% (I'm sure they're about 83-85%), then I've passed the course if I get 0 on the final. So I didn't study too much, but still a bit. I should be okay.

It's 12:42. I should head to bed in a few minutes... just started a few msn conversations, so I can't just go now... hehe. It should be okay. Must set both alarm clocks now just in case so I'll wake up for sure.

Two more exams left. Here we go.
